Conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the details of NMAT exam are available on its official website. Candidates can check for the same here

This year, the NMAT by GMAC 2016 examination is scheduled to be conducted between October 7 and December 20, 2016. NMAT by GMAC is one of the largest online tests conducted for admission into management courses that is conducted in a timeframe of three months or more, thereby giving students a choice of two retakes. 

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants need to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with not less than 50%.
 
Other than this, students who are willing to get admission in MBA in Pharmaceutical Management should’ve done their graduationin Pharmacy, Medical, Life Science, B.Tech in Biotech or Biomedical with at least 50% marks from an affiliated university or should have a postgraduate degree in Sociology, Economics, or Psychology.
 
Candidates who have more than two years work experience in Pharmaceutical field will also be eligible for MBA in Pharmaceutical Management.

NMAT by GMAC 2016 Application Fee

Candidates who want to write NMAT by GMAC 2016 exam need to pay INR 1700 as a test registration fee and INR 2000 as late fee once the registration date without last fee is over. For retake, candidates need to pay INR 1700 and INR1000 for rescheduling. In addition to this, additional score report beyond first seven will cost candidates INR 200/per report. Candidates should also remember that Applicable taxes will be applicable in all the above-mentioned conditions.

NMAT by GMAC 2016 Exam Pattern 

Those who want to take admission into some of the leading business management programmes at undergraduate level need to appear for a computer-based examination that automatically gives each of the candidates a randomly generated test. The pattern of the NMAT is as follows:

  • NMAT by GMAC 2016 is an objective type, multiple choice exam.
  • The test contains no descriptive type questions.
  • Those who crack the NMAT by GMAC 2016 with flying colours need to further appear for Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI). 

NMAT by GMAC 2016 Exam Sections 

NMAT by GMAC 2016 consists of three sections:

  • Language Skills
  • Quantitative Skills
  • Logical Reasoning 

NMAT by GMAC 2016 Number of Questions and Time Slot 

  1. Language Skills: In this Section, candidates need to answer 32 questions in just 22 minutes.
  2. Quantitative Skills: There will be 48 questions in all in this section and candidates will get 60 minutes to answer them.
  3. Logical Reasoning: This section consists 38 questions in all that candidates need to answer in 40 minutes.

 How to Apply for NMAT by GMAC 2016 Exam

Candidates interested in applying for NMAT by GMAC 2016 Exam can reach out to the official website of NMAT. To do so, they can click here.  Candidates can also consider following the steps mentioned here fill up the application form.

  • An aspirant needs to visit the official website http://www.nmat.org.in/ and create an account using a valid email ID
  • Candidate will be required to submit examination details
  • After filling the information, one needs to pay the test fee online (Rs. 1700 excluding taxes and for late application Rs. 2000 will be charged excluding taxes)
  • This completes the application process
  • Candidate should take a print out of the same for future references

NMAT by GMAC 2016 Important Dates 

Candidates who want to NMAT by GMAC 2016 Exam need to keep the following dates in mind to ensure they don't miss the important details. 

  • Date for registration for NMAT by GMAC is between July 4 and October 3, 2016.
  • Late registration for NMAT by GMAC is between October 4 and October 12, 2016.
  • Registration retake can be done between October 8, 2016 and December 15, 2016.
  • Rescheduling dates for NMAT by GMAC are between July 4 and December 17, 2016.
  • Date of examination for NMAT by GMAC is between October 7 and December 20, 2016
  • Retake scheduling for NMAT by GMAC is between October 8 and December 17, 2016.  
  • The final result will be announced on January 17, 2017.
