Odisha JEE (OJEE) Admissions will be Based on JEE Main 2016 Score

There are a large number of seats available in the Government and Private technical institutions in Odisha. All students aspiring to pursue engineering as a career are required to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 that will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to various programmes such as Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech)/ Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)/ Integrated Master of Science (Int. M. Sc) in Odisha.

Engineering aspirants who are seeking admission in the engineering institutes of Odisha state must register themselves and appear for JEE Main 2016.

Students of Odisha and other states can take admission in the institutions as per the Government of Odisha norms and regulations.

For the 2015-16 academic session, admissions to B. Tech/BE programmes in Odisha were conducted on the basis of JEE Main 2015. However, a special Joint Entrance Examination named OJEE was also conducted later by the Policy Planning Body (PPB) to fill the remaining vacant seats after the counselling started basis the JEE Main 2015 scores.

The All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) was conducted by CBSE every year on as all India bases for admission to professional and technical programmes in India. But from 2013 onwards, the JEE Mains replaced the AIEEE exam. Students are required to take the new Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains)  for admission to engineering courses in the esteemed IITs, NITs, IIITs, deemed universities and other centrally funded technical institutions.
