The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board has started the OJEE counselling process from 14 June 2017 onwards. The OJEE counselling will be based on the candidate’s score in the JEE Main 2017. The counselling will be entirely web-based and document verifications are also done during the counselling of OJEE 2017. The counselling of OJEE 2017 will be grounded on the candidate’s score, preference of the course, college/institute and choice filling. The merit list on the category of applicants will be made by the OJEE Board and allot the seats according to their score and seat preference.

The OJEE 2017 candidates should register and the fill up the application form, their choices and preferences regarding course, college or institute. The registered candidates need to do the payment for counselling. Each candidate will be assigned to a particular nodal center in which they have to report for the verification of the documents and certificates. After document verification, the aspirants will be allotted temporary seats. The candidates have to pay the admission fee as well as the university fee at the time of document verification to confirm the admission. Candidates should wait for the final results before reporting to the allotted institute.

Final seat allotment will be announced only after considering the withdrawals and non-reporting candidates at the time of OJEE counselling 2017. The candidates should report in the allotted institute with the printouts and other documents needed for the process of the counselling of OJEE 2017.

The procedure of OJEE Counselling 2017:

The only pre-requisite for the counselling process is, the candidate should have qualified and secured fair score in his/her Joint Entrance Examination 2017.

Steps of OJEE 2017 Counselling:

OJEE Counselling 2017 Registration:

Candidates should register in order to participate in OJEE Counselling 2017. The candidates are supposed to apply for a fresh registration by entering their details on JEE Main roll number and date of birth.  In the registration form, aspirants need to enter personal details along with their bank details, mobile number and address details. Candidates should furnish whatever the information needed to fill up the form. Once the form is filled properly, the can choose a password of their own choice which should be 8-13  character length containing one capital letter, one small letter, one numeric character and one special character.

The applicant can submit and further proceed to pay the fee. Once it is done the candidate should take a printout of the OJEE Counselling 2017 application form.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Payment Registration and Counselling fee:

 The fee for OJEE counselling 2017 is INR 450 which can be made only through online mode by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or SBI challan. The fee is not refundable.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Document verification at the Nodal centres:

The candidate should report to the specified nodal centers for verification of the document. While reporting to the specified nodal centers, aspirants should carry the original documents along with a set of self-attested photo copies for the same which are recommended by the OJEE counselling 2017. After verification the candidates can submit the photocopies of documents with the authority and can keep all the originals with them. Original documents are only needed for the admission verification purpose. 

OJEE Counselling 2017 Required Documents for Verification:

The candidate should carry all the certificates which are needed for the verification and completion of the admission procedure. It is advised to carry all the documents as applicable.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Mandatory Domicile Proof Documents Required:

  • Resident/ Nativity Certificate in original from concerned Revenue Officer not below than Tahsildar.
  • Certificate of Employment of candidate’s Parent / Spouse. Employer : Govt. of Odisha / Govt. of India / Govt. of India undertakings / Govt. of Odisha undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application in original
  • Qualifying Examination Pass Certificate from Odisha in original and self-attested Photocopy

OJEE Counselling 2017 Other Required Documents:

  • JEE Main 2017 Score Card/ Rank card
  • OJEE 2017 Online registration slip
  • OJEE 2017 Online/offline payment slip.
  • Proof of date of birth - HSC or any other relevant certificate showing the date of birth
  • Marks Sheet for 10 + 2 Mark Sheet
  • Pass certificate of 10+2 or equivalent
  • Original SC/ST certificate by birth state of Odisha if applicable
  • Income Certificate for TFW candidates for 2017 if applicable
  • Green Card issued by Family Welfare Department of Govt. Of Odisha if applicable
  • Original certificate of Ex-Serviceman from Rajya Sainik Board if applicable
  • Original Certificate in support of Outlying Odia Speaking Tract (OL) category if applicable
  • Medical Certificate for PC Candidates if applicable
  • Qualifying Examination Pass Certificate from Odisha.
  • Women candidates must also submit the Resident/Nativity Certificate from concerned Revenue Officer not below than Tahsildar if applying for reservation

Candidates should also show the proof of counselling fee payment slip on the day of OJEE Counselling 2017.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Choice Filling:

A candidate should log in and fill as many choices as he/she wants.  By making multiple choices/preferences in various institutes give assurance that they won’t miss any chance of admission during OJEE 2017 Counselling. The candidate should save whatever choices that he/she has made before logging out. Once the choices are filled, procedures regarding the Odisha Entrance Examination 2017 temporary seat allotment will begin.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Temporary Allotment of Seat:

The candidates can check their temporary seat allotment from the official website. An SMS will be sent to those candidates who don’t have to take the printout of the allotment as there can be any change the final allotment after considering the number of withdrawal or unreported candidate in the OJEE Counselling 2017. The candidates who didn’t get any message regarding any change can directly take a printout of the form and take admission in the respective institute as there won’t be any changes in the seat allotment process.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Reporting to the Nodal centre for Payment of Admission Fees:

Candidates should report to the nodal centre after paying the admission fee of INR 25000 which comprises of both admission fee and the university fee that can be paid through SBI E-Challan or Axis Bank. Candidates should download the E-challan and pay the amount and get the E-Challan duly stamped.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Final Seat Allotment:

Seat allotment is completely based on the JEE Main 2017 merit rank of the candidate, preference of the institute or college, availability of the seats and their choices of the stream. Preference is made by the marks obtained by the candidate so the candidate who secured high marks will be preferred for the admission. An auto-upgradation process will take place after considering the number of withdrawals and the un-reported candidates during the time of OJEE Counselling 2017. Candidates can log in and download their allotment letter to know all about the seat availability and their chances of getting admission in their desired institute or college.

OJEE Counselling 2017 Reporting to the Allotted College:

The candidates should download their final seat allotment letter and report to the allotted institution/college on the proper date and time. Candidates should complete the joining process and receive the registration card from the institute to which they are admitted to and are about to pay the balance admission fee.
