Mangalayatan University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh organized 'Orientation-2015' programme for new students to make them familiar with the new environment.
By delivering the inaugural speech Dr. Brig. Pabla advised students to utilize their time at the University for developing themselves as well rounded personalities. To make the education flexible, ‘Mangalayatan University has already introduced Choice Based Credit System approved by the UGC for all degree courses.
Now, students can learn liberal arts, communication skills and general awareness as per their interest along with core subjects. ‘This will lead to their holistic development towards being successful professionals’, he said.
This was followed by Cdr. Manjeet Singh (Retd.), Registrar and Proctor providing the details of anti-ragging measures, maintaining discipline in the campus and prescribed rules to be followed by the students residing in the hostel.
Shri Karthik Gopalan, Vice-President (Operations) said that students have to develop a judgmental prowess for becoming successful professionals. ‘Try to learn from every expert. There are plenty of experts available in the University, students have to come forward to learn from them’, he said. Shri Gopalan described parental role as most significant in wholesome development of students. ‘University is a facilitator and parents are guides while students have to learn from conducive environment’, he added.

Deputy Registrar introduced officers and functionaries to new students. Prof. Ravindra Deshmukh, Prof. Charanjeet Kaur Pabla, Prof. Abhay Kumar, Col. (Dr.) Nagaraj Mantha and Dr. Arvind Kumar graced the programme. Shri Devashish Ganguly presented Saraswati Vandana.
