Event focused on the importance of training imparted to upcoming nurses
The College of Nursing, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh organized an orientation programmed for new students on 27th August 2015. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mrs. Sneh Lata Manocha, Registrar, Delhi Nursing Council and the Guest of Honour was Mr. Anil Rai, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, IHBAS, New Delhi.
Other dignitaries who were present included Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Rakesh Kr. Mudgal, Registrar Shri Devadesh Sharma and Principal Prof. (Dr.) N. V. Muninarayanapa.
The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana by the Nursing Students followed by lamp lighting by respected dignitaries. The welcome speech was delivered by our Respected Principal Prof. Dr. N.V Muninarayanapa.
Mrs. Manocha emphasized on the need to be competent and effective while pursuing the profession of nursing. She said that the students should be caring by nature and should develop their aptitude to enhance their knowledge and skills pertaining to the context of nursing.
On the other hand, Mr. Anil Rai discussed the importance of Nursing in terms of recovery of the patient, avoiding all hospital associated complications and mortality. He urged the students to own responsibility of caring.
The students were also motivated to understand the role they play in the society and develop love for the profession to the best of their capabilities.
