Modi appoints IIT- JEE 2015 Topper Kruti Tiwari as 'Digital India' Brand Ambassador

Kruti Tiwari, the IIT- JEE 2015 topper, has been appointed as the Brand ambassador of 'Digital India' campaign by PM Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister of India has impressed the nation with the vision of a Digital India. His latest step in transforming the Indian society into a digitally empowered society has taken the nation by surprise. Now, PM Modi has appointed Kruti Tiwari, who is one of the IIT- JEE 2015 toppers, as the brand ambassador of his 'Digital India' initiative.

Kruti stood out as the topper amongst the 3,049 girls who qualified the examination. She secured the 47th rank in JEE Advanced 2015 and is a resident of Indore.

PM Modi recently inaugurated the Digital India campaign at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Delhi. The inauguration was held on July 1, 2015. The project is an initiative by the government to bring transparency into the system and empower the citizens of India through the digital connectivity.

There are various goals that PM Modi aims to achieve through the Digital India campaign. The scheme also aims to make the government jobs available electronically to the common people so that it could bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.

PM Modi has ensured an investment of about Rs 4.5 Lakh crores and the Digital Campaign Scheme also aims to provide employment facilities to a minimum of 18 lakh people. There are various steps and measures that would be incorporated in the scheme to develop India both digitally and economically.

There are various other measures that would be put into practise like initiatives including e-Education (providing education virtually to far-flung areas in India), National Scholarships Portal (one-stop platform for end-to-end scholarship application process for all scholarships by the Indian government) and Digital Lockers (facility to maintain important documents online.)

PM Modi has trusted Kruti with this important role in the mission to transform India into a digital nation. As quoted in a number of leading websites, Kruti is overjoyed and amazed at the prestigious offer that the PM of India has made to her.
