CAT 2012 result, poor CAT result

Don’t be disheartened if your CAT result is poor, for it’s not the end of the world! There are plenty of options available even if your result is not up to the mark.

1. There is always a second time – You can appear for the exam again next year with better preparation. You can come up with better ways of studying. Practice some more sample tests and understand your weaknesses. You will then know where you need to improve.

2. Apply in other B-Schools – There is no dearth of B-Schools in India. You can do your MBA from other business management institutes that are open to admissions. But before you apply, do make sure that those colleges match your expectations and standards.

3. Go abroad for higher education – There is also an option of travelling abroad for higher studies. You can apply for international MBA. However, it may require you to do a lot of research. For admission in a foreign university, you should know what kind of entrance test needs to be taken, course details and availability of specialisation, duration of the course and location where you want to pursue your MBA degree.

4. Get some work exposure – If you’ve not been able to clear CAT, you can either continue with your job or apply for one if you are not working. Getting work experience will boost your confidence. You can prepare for the exam simultaneously.
