President presents ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Award’ to NITIE

NITIE, Mumbai was awarded the Rajbhasha Kirti Award for successfully implementing Rajbhasha Policy of the GOI.

For its admirable performance during the year 2014-15 in implementing Rajbhasha Policy of the Government of India in its official work, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai was awarded the Rajbhasha Kirti Award by the Honourable President of India, Shri.Pranab Mukherjee.


In a gracious ceremony held on September 14th, 2015 at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, the award was received by Prof.Ashok K.Pundir, on behalf of NITIE in the category of Boards and Autonomous Institutions. The President congratulated the award winners for their commendable work and urged everyone to come together to propagate the use of Hindi. 
The Award Ceremony, chaired by Shri.Rajnath Singh, Honourable Union Minister of Home Affairs, was attended by Honourable Ministers of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Shri.Kiren Rijiju, Shri.Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Secretary, Rajbhasha Shri.Girish Shankar and several dignitaries from different parts of the country.
