Prof. P. K Jain appointed as new Director-in-charge of IIT, Delhi

Prof. Pk. K Jain has replaced Prof. R.K Shevagaonkar as Director-in-charge for further notice!

Prof. R.K Shevagaonkar has been relieved from his duty as Director at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as per the acceptance of his resignation w.e.f June 11, 2015.
In his replacement, Prof. Pk. K Jain. Department of Management, IIT, Delhi is appointed as Director-in-charge w.e.f June 12, 2015 till the further order.
About IIT:
The Indian Institutes of Technology (popularly known as IITs) are institutions of national importance established through Act of Parliament for fostering excellence in education. There are fifteen IITs at present, located in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati,Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar and Roorkee.
The institute offers Bachelor of Technology course with specialization in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power), Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering and Textile Technology course. 
The institute also offers Dual Degree program in B. Tech and M. Tech in Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology, B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering and M. Tech in Process Engineering & Design, B. Tech in Chemical Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Applications in Chemical Engineering, B. Tech and M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering and M. Tech in Information & Communication Technology course. 
Apart from this institute also offers 5 years Integrated M. Tech degree in the Mathematics and Computing course.
