A two-day Orientation Programme was conducted for Research Scholars enrolled in Doctoral Programmes by Amity University
Amity University organised a two day orientation session for the Research Scholars enrolled in PhD Programmes with 41 Institutions of Amity Campus- Noida and Lucknow at the University Campus, Noida.
The selected number of candidates this year was 244, out of which 211 were selected from the Noida Campus and the remaining from the Lucknow Campus. Their field of research will include Agriculture, Management, Economics, Forensic Sciences, Food and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Computer Science Engineering and Neurosciences to name a few.
Keeping in mind the traditional norms, the programme commenced with a ‘Havan’ Ceremony, followed by a welcome address by the Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, who tried to motivate the scholars to work hard during the course of their research in order to achieve results and recognition.
Other dignitaries who were present included Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Saran, Senior Vice Chairmain, Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation; Dr. sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School; and Wg Cdr SK Goel, International Affairs Department, Amity. They talked about the concept and significance of research, its effects that lead to societal benefits and the previous accomplishments of the research scholars and faculty members. The students were also assured of the support that will be provided by the university if needed.
