Sanath Jayasuriya held an interactive session with the students of the International Institute of Sports Management (IISM)
Former Sri Lankan cricket captain, Sanath Jayasuriya, held an interactive session with the students of the International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)-Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) complex.
The former left-hander held a free-wheeling discussion with the students of all three batches of IISM-BBA, MBA and PGDSM-as he held forth a number of issues related to the sport that he played with distinction for over two decades.
IISM Director and former Indian left-arm spinner Nilesh Kulkarni also held forth during the interaction. Both Mr Kulkarni and Mr Jayasuriya have a close link with each other, since they sparred against each other in their playing days. Mr Jayasuriya was Mr Kulkarni's first ODI wicket. Also in Mr Kulkarni's first Test, Mr Jayasuriya smashed a terrific 340.
Overall, the students enjoyed the interaction as they asked a wide-ranging set of questions to their hero. The students were thrilled and took selfies with the star cricketer.
The interaction lasted for little over an hour as Mr Jayasuriya joked and mingled with the students with ease.
