This scholarship by L’Oreal India is specially designed to encourage and support young women to pursue their careers in the field of science. The scholarship is only eligible after the student has passed 12th class. The programme grants INR 250,000 to talented but economically disadvantaged young women. The amount covers college fees for studying science in any recognised college or university in India.

  • The candidate must have obtained a minimum 85% marks in PCB/PCM

College Admission Scholarship Application (CASA) Form 2017

CASA is one of the best scholarships after 12th pass. Students who’ve done schooling from a recognised board would be eligible. Once the students fill the form, they would be informed about the available merit and need-based cum scholarships from well-know AICTE and UGC recognised institutions. The objective of this initiative is to help Indian students reap maximum benefits from these scholarships to pursue a quality education. All India Meritorious Scholarship Test (AIMST) 2017

All India Meritorious Scholarship Test is organised by Smiling Star Advisory Pvt. Ltd. with the motive to discover and help students with exceptional merit; they may or may not be financially weak. The funds and financial guidance facilitate these students to pursue higher education. The total amount of scholarship is divided equally between merit-based and need cum merit-based scholarships. Top 124 winners will get cash prizes, certificates, etc. based on their performance. The table given below will explain the segregation.

Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA) Scholarship 2017-2018

FAEA Scholarship 2017-2018 is organised by BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd.) to support and encourage economically or socially disadvantaged Indian students to pursue higher education. It is one of the highly recommended scholarships after 12th pass. The scholarship provides financial assistance to complete the graduation. It includes tuition fee, maintenance allowance, hostel & mess charges, books allowance, clothing allowance, travel allowance and miscellaneous allowance as intimidated at the time of selection.

Sahu Jain Trust-Loan Scholarship

Sahu Jain Trust offers interest-free loan scholarships for students after 12thIt’ll help them to pursue graduation or post-graduation in technical subjects like engineering, information technology, medical, MBA, etc. in India. Existing candidates would have to apply again for a continuance. The scholarship amount ranges from INR 2500 to INR 25,000 per year.

Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minority Students

Not every student in India is economically and socially sound. To support and encourage such students, this scheme provides financial assistance to the meritorious but economically disadvantaged students belonging to minority communities. It would help them to pursue professional and technical courses. The scholarship can only be availed by Indian students for studying in India. Eligibility for Scholarships After 12th 

  • Students who get the admission to a college to pursue technical/ professional courses based on a competitive examination.
  • The student must belong to Muslim, Christian, Parsi, Buddhist, Sikh or Jain community.
  • Students who get the admission to a college to pursue technical/ professional courses without taking any competitive examination must have 50% marks at higher secondary/ graduation level. The evaluation of such students would be done strictly on merit basis.
  • The annual income of the student or his/her parents should not exceed INR 250,000 from all sources.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The Government of India invites applications from students of class 11 and 12 for Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2017-18. The main objective of this scheme is to provide scholarships for students after 12th to pursue higher education. Minority communities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis will be benefitted from it by getting more jobs, thus, increasing their employability rate.

The scholarship would cover their admission, course, tuition fee and maintenance allowance.

Eligibility for Getting Scholarships After 12th 

  • Students pursuing class 11th, 12th, graduation, post-graduation, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil. or PhD.
  • Students who belong to Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhists, Jain or Parsi community
  • Candidates who’ve scored minimum 50% marks or equivalent in the previous course
  • The annual income of the family must not be more than INR 200,000 from all the sources
  • The scholarship would be given to maximum two children in the same family

Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, SHDF Scholarship 2017

This scholarship programme is organised by Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council and Sikh Human Development Foundation. They are currently inviting applicants to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship will be granted on the basis of a written test, followed by an interview. You should be studying a professional course from a recognised institution to be eligible.

Eligibility for Scholarships After 12th 

  • Scholarships will be granted to students pursuing a professional diploma, degree or post-graduate courses in a recognised institution/ university in India.
  • The aspirant must belong to Sikh community.
  • Term professional includes, but is not limited to engineering, architecture, IT, computer science, medical, nursing, pharmacology, home science, education, business management, agriculture, animal husbandry, etc.
  • Students appearing in Class 12th examination (Academic year 2016-2017) are also eligible to apply and attempt the written test and interview.
  • Students must have obtained minimum 60% marks in the previous year or semester examination
  • The gross family income must not be more than INR 150,000 per year

INSPIRE Scholarship

Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scholarship is a flagship programme by the Department of Science & Technology. This is one of the most popular scholarships after 12th pass. It helps students who want to pursue science intensive courses. The motive behind this programme is to attract and enhance talent with an aptitude for research and innovation. This would help the country to build the required resource pool for strengthening and expanding science and technology system and research and development base.

The scholarship is granted to 10,000 students, each valued at INR 80,000 per annum for students pursuing Bachelors and Masters level courses in Basic and Natural Sciences. Selected candidates will be supported for a maximum period of five years, starting from the 1st year BSc, BS, Int. MSc/Int. MS or until the completion of the course, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility for Scholarships After 12th 

  • Indian students with aggregate marks within top 1% of their class 12th examination of any state/ central board in India are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The student must be pursuing courses in Natural and Basic Sciences at the B.Sc, B.S. and Int. M.Sc./ M.S. level. Subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Geology, Astrophysics, Astronomy, Electronics, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Anthropology, Microbiology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanic Sciences.
  • Students who have secured ranks in JEE (IIT), AIPMT (within TOP 10,000 ranks) and are presently pursuing Natural and Basic Science courses in India
  • Students pursuing integrated M.S. courses at IISERs, NISER and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences, KVPY, NTSE, JBNSTS scholars and International Olympiad medallists pursuing Bachelor/ Master level courses in Natural Sciences

Only candidates who have completed their XII standard in the year 2013 and are currently enrolled in BSc, BS, Int. MSc/MS degrees, in Natural and Basic Sciences, could apply. Indian Oil Academic Scholarship

Indian Oil Academic Scholarship is offered on merit-cum-means basis to students who are pursuing 10+, ITI, Engineering, MBBS or MBA. It is one of the most sought out scholarships after 12th pass. The amount per month for 10+2 (2 years) streams is INR 1,000, for Engineering (4 years), MBBS (4 years) and MBA (2 years) the amount is INR 3,000 per month.
