School of Open Learning, DU Introduces Self Defence Training Programme

Students are urged to come forward and participate to learn self defence techniques

Self Defence at DU

Gender Sensitization Committee (GSC) of the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi is organizing a Self-Defence Training Programme for girl students in close collaboration with the Delhi Police. The programme will be conducted in batches of 10 days beginning September 2015 and will continue until April 2016.

The training programme will be free of cost and more and more students are urged to come forward to be a part of this experience. It will not only help the students individually, but will also aid in bringing about change in our society and the plight of women in our country.

The training will be held at three venues, namely:

  • SOL North, 5 Cavalry Lane, School of Open Learning, University of Delhi, 110007
  • SOL South Study Centre, South Moti Bagh, NEW DELHI 110021
  • Campus of Open Learning, C-2 Keshavpuram. University of Delhi, 110035

At the end of the training programme, certificates will be awarded by the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi and Delhi Police. 

Last date of registration is 31st October 2015.
