SFIMAR, Mumbai to Host 'Udaan - The Flight of Extension' Annual Festival on 15th-16th January 2016

More than 35 colleges and nearly 500 students will visit St. Francis Institute of Management & Research (SFIMAR), Mumbai for their annual festival

St. Francis Institute of Management & Research (SFIMAR), Mumbai is hosting “Udaan- The Flight of Extension” Annual Festival of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, University of Mumbai on 15th and 16th Jan 2016.

 

More than 35 colleges and nearly 500 students and teachers will visit the SFIMAR Campus in these 2 days, says SFIMAR Director Dr. S. S. Mohanty.

During this Festival, there will be two competitions viz. Street Play Competition and Poster Competition on social issues and the best performance and best displays will be awarded with Udaan Trophy and Certificates based on the recommendations of the expert judges. On the occasion, Principals of the participating colleges, field coordinators, teachers and anchors will also be honoured with Special Contribution Trophy & Certificates.

Dr Mohanty said, "We are very proud to host this festival as this is an opportunity for us to showcase our state-of-the-art campus and our various programmes such as our two-year full-time MMS Programme (affiliated to Mumbai University), full-time PGDM Programme (AICTE & DTE approved) and three-year part-time Master’s Degree Programme (Financial Management and Marketing Management streams)."

He further added, "All our programmes examine the most up-to-date concepts in all major business areas at advanced levels by a well-qualified and dedicated in-house faculty. With emphasis on high quality education as well as overall grooming of our students, we have developed a rigorous, but very exciting curriculum which combines classroom sessions with industry visits, field trips, internships and project assignments that call for in-depth research and application."

SFIMAR is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified Institute and recipient of the coveted ‘Most Upcoming B-School’ National Award for 2015 from ASSOCHAM and the ‘Best Educational Quality Enhancement Team (BEQET)’ National Award for 2014 from National Centre for Quality Management.
