SIET Celebrates International Woman’s Day

The international women's day was well celebrated at Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology on March 8th.

The international women's day celebrated at Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology was a grand success. This event was organized by the efforts of the institute’s literary club ‘PRAYATANA’ on March 8, 2016.
 
Mrs. Pramila Singh, Chief Personnel Officer, Central Organization for Railway Electrification was present as the chief guest. The function was inaugurated by lightning the lamp and angavastram and bouquet are handed over to the chief guest as souvenirs.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dr. K. K.  Tiwari, Chief Administrative Officer Prof. R. K. Singh and Prof. D. P. Agnihotri made a special mention of the fact that specifically in Shambhunath Institute girls are given special opportunities to empower themselves. Even during admissions, the first priority is given to girls.
 
 
 
 
 
In addition to the chief guest, Director, Corporate Relations, Mrs. Aditi Chauhan Mukherjee, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. D. P. Agnihotri, Dean Training and Placement Prof.  J. P. Mishra, Finance Officer Mr. O. P. Garg, Advisory Board Member, Utthan, Dr. S. P. Sharma, Advisory Head ‘PRAYATANA’ Dr. Rajni Tripathi and Advisory Board Member ‘PRAYATANA’ Ms. Shikha Srivastava, besides several students shared their views. The event witnessed the footfall of around 250 students.
 
Among the students Shadwali Dubey, Niharika Srivastava, Kartikeya Dubey, Rajshri Kesarwani, Nidhi Singh, Vaibhav Verma, Hana Suhail, Anukriti Srivastava, Mangala Pandey and Nitesh Mishra projected their views.
 
 
 
 
 
The speakers emphasized on the empowerment of women. They said that a woman is an invaluable part of this society. Women have the power to build the society, has seen the transformation and are the true witness to creation. Speakers made note from achievements of various empowered women acquainting all women to be proud of themselves and also be aware of the sensation.
 
Senior faculty member and Advisory Head, ‘PRAYATANA’ Dr. Rajni Tripathi proposed the vote of thanks. Chief Guest, Mrs. Singh presented gifts to all the speakers of the day. The whole event was successfully hosted by the final year student of the Institute Shivanshu Awasthi, an active member of ‘PRAYATANA’.
 
 
 
 
 
Among other student members of ‘PRAYATANA’ Surabhi Srivastava, Vishal Tulsani, Aishwarya Verma, Aakriti Sinha, Anupriya Srivastava, Prateeksha Prajapati, Sakshi Krishna and Saloni Shikha were responsible for managing the event and they sincerely accomplished the task.
