Music maestro, flutist Pandit Rupak Kulkarni was invited to play for the eve along with Shri Sapan Anjaria on tabala and Shri Aditya Sutar on flute

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. It is mood medicine, a pure magic, which can eradicate all your pain and leave you the feeling of joy. Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore felt the same magic as a classical music program was organized by SPIC MACAY.

SPIC MACAY is a non-profitable non- political nationwide voluntary movement that organizes programs of classical music and dance forms, folk arts, crafts, yoga etc. Its main motto is to promote classical music and dance, folk dance etc in Indian youth. This organization has volunteers from various genres and belongs to different age group. It has won many awards in India for its work. The organization is well recognized by various foreign institutes.



Music maestro, flutist Pandit Rupak Kulkarni was invited to play for the eve along with Shri Sapan Anjaria on tabala and Shri Aditya Sutar on flute. Pt. Kulkarni is magnificent exponent of Maihar Gharana. He has blossomed under the finest guidance of flute legend Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and mastered various styles of music. Not only by the common audience but he has also been praised by the legends of music fraternity. Jaipuria Indore felt same delight while hearing Pt. Kulkarni.



After lighting of lamp Pt. Kulkarni enlighten students by sharing some of his knowledge about Indian Classical Music. On his views about the interest of Indian youth in music he said that they are interested and want to peruse their career in music. While giving example of his co artist Shri Anaria and Shri Sutar he said that youth need guidance and they can excel in this field. Further when the maestro started playing it was spellbound hour of bliss.

Students felt their heart content and mind relaxed. They were in euphoria as some of them were listening live classical music for the first time. They gave their hearties thanks to SPIC MACAY and Jaipuria Indore for arranging this program.



Dr. Nitin Merh and Prof. Arindam Saha were faculty coordinators and Mr. Neal Jain Coordinated from SPIC MACAY. This program was part of Virasat-2015 Series

Music is language of soul and if God resides in soul then music is language of God. Every soul present in Jaipuria Indore felt this and will remember this evening throughout their lives.
