Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct re-examination of Batch II candidates who appeared for SSC CGL 2016 Tier I examination on August 27, 2016.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an official notification clarifying that re-examination will be conducted for only those candidates who appeared for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I examination under batch II on August 27, 2016.
As per the notification, re-examination will be held tentatively on August 27, 2016 and the results for all batches will be declared most likely by November 8, 2016. It also stated that SSC CGL 2016 Tier II examination would be held roughly from November 30, 2016 to December 2, 2016. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed.
Citing administrative reasons, the re-examination will be conducted for the students who actually appeared for the exam held from 4:15 to 5:30 pm on August 27. This notification has nullified all rumours suggesting re-examination for all batches of Tier I exam.
In a statement issued by SSC Chairperson Ashim Khurana, he asked candidates not to get affected by ‘propaganda’ of ‘vested interests’. He also assured candidates of selecting students purely on merit in a ‘fair and transparent’ manner.
SSC CGL 2016 Tier I examination was conducted in 43 batches for about 14.99 lakh candidates. The examination was held from August 27, 2016 to September 11, 2016 across India and on September 25, 2016 at Srinagar.
