TEQIP-II workshop is designed to cover broad spectrum of knowledge and information on the role of Physics in the development of modern technological world.
Department of Applied Physics, S.V. National Institute of Technology is going to organise TEQIP II sponsored short-term training programme on ‘Role of Physics in Technology Development (RPTD-2017) from January 2, 2017, to January 6, 2017.
This workshop is designed to cover a broad spectrum of knowledge and information on the role of Physics in the development of the modern technological world. The workshop will address the importance of diverse branches of physics and the participants will be trained with the following software and experimental tools via lectures, demonstrations and/or hands-on sessions:
- SCAPS (for Solar PV systems)
- GAUSSIAN (for Nanomaterial)
- MATLAB (for Physics problems)
- TELESCOPE (for Night Sky observation)
Faculty members from AICTE recognized institutes and Research Scholars pursuing Ph.D./M.Tech from science and engineering background are eligible for the STTP. Industry personnel is also eligible to attend the STTP. Maximum 30 participants will be allowed to register the First-Cum-First basis.
Participants from SV NIT are exempted from fee. The registration fee for the STTP is Rs.250/- for research students, Rs.500/- for faculty members and Rs.2500/- for industry personnel. The non-refundable registration fees should be remitted in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Director, SVNIT” payable at Surat or in cash. Registration fee includes registration kit, working lunch and course materials. The participants have to bear their own traveling expenses. The accommodation can be arranged upon prior request on payment basis in the Narmada Bhavan Guest House. Research scholars have to attach a photocopy of their valid identity card along with registration fee.
The last date of registration is 30th December 2016.
The completed registration form should be sent in a hard copy containing signature and seal of the Institution. The candidates can also send their scanned registration form through e-mail. Selection of eligible participants will be the First-Cum-First basis and intimated accordingly by email. Spot registration may be permitted in the case of available vacancies.
