UGC Orders All Varsities, Colleges to Upload All Information on Website

All universities and colleges to publish all the information on the website as per the latest order by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

All the universities and colleges of the country would have to put their information on website. This order has been given by the UGC to all the universities of the country.

The information about the admission, numbers of seats, profile of teachers, academic calendar, hostel, transport, research output, placement profile, approval from other institutes, fees and scholarship has to be given compulsorily on website. The university grants commission wants the full information educational information should be available on website.

It is generally seen that many institutions had the information and destroyed the career of students. The UGC took this step on receipt of complaint to this effect.

The universities and colleges also need to furnish information about process of admission and number of seats, profile of teachers, activities, facilities for the students. Details of research placement record, process of hearing problem of students and accreditation and institution given grant in aid.

The Jiwaji University had passed the proposal on June 22, 2015. The dean of commerce faculty Prof SK Singh presented a proposal to put the information private colleges on website. It was accepted by the standing committee.

The head of the Commerce department Prof SK Singh said that the UGC ordered to upload the information on website to ensure transparency of the institute. The secretary UGC Prof Jaspal S Sandhu said that orders have been given to upload all the information on website of all the universities and college.
