The official notification regarding the exam pattern and the exam centres for the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Combined Geo- Scientist and Geologist exam, has been released on the official UPSC website. The exam is scheduled to take place on 12th May, 2017. Interested candidates should apply online at the official UPSC website.

Part 1: Written Examination
Part 2: Interview and personality test for 200 marks.
All questions will be set in English language only.

Interview and Personality Test:

The candidates, who qualify for the interview, will be sitting in front of a team of competent and neutral interviewers, who will have information of the candidates’ career and education background. The interview is held to measure a candidate’s capabilities to do justice to the post that he/she has appeared for.

The personality test will assess the candidates’ leadership qualities, initiative taking abilities, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, social capabilities, etc. so as to be sure of the candidates’ ability to perform his/ her duties to the fullest.

Exam Centres:

The exam scheduled to be held on 12th May, 2017, will take place at the following locations.

Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Shillong, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.
