UPSC SCRA 2017 Important Dates – Every year, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the recruitment examination for the post of Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) on behalf of Indian Railways across the country. It is a national level examination that enables selected students to undertake an apprenticeship of four years. SCRA candidates, who complete their apprenticeships, are absorbed as Class I officers in Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (ISME). Lakhs of students appear for this UPSC SCRA exam every year making it one of the extremely popular exams in India.

As per the official website of UPSC, the upcoming examination for the recruitment of SCRA 2017 will be conducted in the month of July 2017. The exam dates have witnessed a major change this year as the UPSC SCRA examination for the year 2016 was conducted on January 10, 2016.

UPSC SCRA 2017 Important Dates:

UPSC has released the tentative schedule for UPSC SCRA examination for the year 2017 on its official web portal. However, the exact dates for the exam are yet to be announced. Aspiring candidates may refer to the tentative list of important dates given below –

Candidates should note that these dates are subject to change after the confirmed datesheet is released by UPSC.

Candidates interested to apply for UPSC SCRA 2017 examination should be between 17 years to 21 years of age and should have cleared intermediate examination with first or second division. They should have also studied Mathematics, Physics/ Chemistry as subjects.
