UPSEE 2018- AKTU has released the application form of UPSEE 2018. The examination will be conducted on April 29, 2018, for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses offered by the colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The official notification of UPSEE has been released along with the application form on 23 January 2018.Eligible candidates can apply online till 15 March 2018. Now, candidates can appear in both the examination. The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination as known as UPSEE is a state level entrance test organized by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) for admissions to B. Tech courses in around 323 engineering colleges across the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Interested aspirants should fill up the application form for the same to take up the exam.

It will be a huge relief for the engineering aspirants as they get an extra week to prepare for the examination. However, it will not immensely impact on their preparation. The stress level will remain the same as the entrance test will be conducted within a month after their board examination and they have fewer days to cover the complete syllabus. The online registration for the entrance exam of UPSEE 2018 has been commenced on 23 January 2018. UPSEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

AKTU has recommended certain eligibility criteria for UPSEE 2018 that each candidate must satisfy. Here are some of the UPSEE eligibility criteria 2018.

Academic Qualification: Applicants must have qualified 10+2 level examination or any other equivalent examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects out of Bio-Technology/Chemistry/ Biology/Technical Vocational subject. Aspirants opting for B.Tech Biotechnology must have studied either Maths or Biology and Physics as compulsory subjects

Minimum qualifying score: Candidates must have secured at least 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in their 10+2 examination. It should be noted that the candidate must have qualified 10+2 without grace mark.

UPSEE 2018 Application Form

The UPSEE 2018 application form can be filled online. It will be made available from the third week of January 2018 for the interested aspirants. Candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below to fill up the application form successfully.

  • Filling up of UPSEE 2018 application form: Candidates should enter their personal details, educational details, course applied for, communication details, exam centre options and preferences, community reservation details etc.
  • Uploading of images: Upload scanned copy of candidate’s photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression.
  • Application fees payment: The examination fee can be paid online through debit or credit card, net banking.
  • Printing of application form: Download the confirmation page and send it to the University. However, the registration number mentioned on it should be preserved properly.

UPSEE 2018 Exam Pattern

The UPSEE 2018 exam is expected to be held in the pen-paper mode. There will be 150 questions and the duration of UPSEE 2018 entrance test will be of 3 hours/180 minutes.

UPSEE Syllabus 2018

UPSEE 2018 syllabus will be similar to the qualifying examination of class 12 and it covers chapters/lessons from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/ Biology. It is important for each candidate to go through the UPSEE syllabus 2018 before preparing for the exam. By knowing both syllabus and exam pattern of UPSEE 2018 will help the candidate to plan the strategies accordingly and get a wide idea about the entrance exam.

UPSEE 2018 Admit Card

The Admit Card for UPSEE 2018 is likely to be available online in the second week of April 2018 and can be downloaded by entering application number and password of the candidate. UPSEE Admit Card carries the candidate’s details such as application number, roll number, exam date, candidate’s name, name and address of exam centre and candidate’s passport size photograph. Candidates must carry UPSEE 2018 Admit Card/Hall Ticket to the exam centre on the day of entrance test.

UPSEE 2018 Exam Centres

UPSEE 2018 is likely to be conducted in 41 cities in Uttar Pradesh and 8 cities outside Uttar Pradesh. While filling UPSEE application form, candidates should be careful while choosing the exam centre as it cannot be changed later. Candidates should select at least three preferences from the list of exam centres.

UPSEE 2018 Answer Key

AKTU will release the answer key of UPSEE 2018 in the third week of April 2018 after successfully conducting the entrance exam. The answer key will be available online as per the subject paper and set. Applicants will have to download it for their paper set and then match the answers. However, the predicted score should not be taken as the final result.

UPSEE 2018 Result

The result of UPSEE will be announced online in the last week of May 2018 tentatively. The counselling of UPSEE will be based on the ranks secured by the entrants in the exam. In case of any discrepancy, candidates can get their answer sheets examined by making a payment of INR 5000 per paper within seven days of the declaration of result. UPSEE 2018 Cut Off

UPSEE cut off 2018 also provides the opening and closing ranks of various participating institutes and those candidates who meet the cut-off and scored above will be given admission. The cut off of UPSEE 2018 is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate has to score to get admission in the various participating institutes of AKTU. Last year the qualifying cut-off of UPSEE was 25% for Gen/OBC candidates while it was 20% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

UPSEE 2018 Counselling

The counselling of UPSEE will be held in five rounds for candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam of UPSEE 2018. After registration, candidates are required to pay the registration fees and fill their choices of courses and colleges. The counselling of UPSEE 2018 is likely to commence from the third week of June 2018 and ends in the second week of August 2018. Once after the declaration of UPSEE result 2018, candidates are required to register online for counselling and seat allotment process of UPSEE 2018.

UPSEE 2018 Seat Allotment

UPSEE seat allotment 2018 will be done on the basis of candidates rank in the released rank list and his/her preference of college and course made during the time of counselling. Candidates will be allotted seats in various undergraduate engineering courses and colleges in the state through the seat allotment process. Candidates who have paid the registration fee and have locked their choices should get their documents verified. After the verification of documents, candidates will be allotted seats according to their preferences of courses and colleges according to their rank in the merit list.

UPSEE 2018 Sample Papers

Solving sample papers, the aspirants will get an overall idea about important topics to be covered, weightage of marks and a fair idea of the difficulty level of the paper they can expect in the main examination. The sample papers of UPSEE are available online for aspirants to practice for the entrance examination. UPSEE Reservation of Seats 2018

UPSEE 2018 reservation of seats is based on the guidelines issued by the UP government. 15% seats have been reserved by the state government for management quota and NRI candidates. Remaining 85% seats are filled with candidates who qualify UPSEE 2018.

UPSEE 2018 Guidelines

Here are some of the guidelines which are to be followed by the candidate on the day of UPSEE 2018 exam.

  • Candidates must reach at least an hour before the commencement of the exam
  • Carry their UPSEE 2018 Admit Card and a Blue/ Black ballpoint pen
  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets etc. are not allowed inside the exam hall
  • On the day of the exam, candidates must make sure to follow all instructions properly.
