VIT Grants INR 1 Crore for ‘VIT Student Startup Venture Initiative’

‘VIT Student Startup Venture Initiative’
VIT University, Vellore is delighted to invite the budding entrepreneurs with their innovative ideas for ‘VIT Student Startup Venture Initiative’.
 
Entrepreneurship Cell, VIT and VITTBI will be managing this program. Students from the Science, Engineering and Management streams can apply independently or as a team for project support on or before July 20, 2016.
 
VIT Management has already approved a grant of Rs.1 Crore for the academic year 2016-17. The motive behind is to provide the requisite prototype development support so that the innovators would be in a position to reach the proof of concept stage.  Eventually, a number of such projects would be provided continued support under incubation program for launching a startup venture.
 
 
The selected proposals can get:
 
  • Up to INR 1 lakh for prototype /product development
  • Handholding and mentoring support from the VIT-TBI network
  • Continued support under incubation programme for launching a startup venture
The university is looking forward to the active participation of students and hopes they will work on their ideas during the vacation and come up with innovative still unique ideas.
 
Submission details:
 
The soft copy of the proposal may be sent to VIT with a cc to TBI coordinator at vit.ac.in on or before July 20, 2016, while the hard copy can be handed over at Room no. 007/008 TT on or before July 25, 2016.
