VITEEE 2018- The online application form of VITEEE Exam 2018 is available for the aspirants on its official website. Candidates can fill the form in both online and offline mode. VITEEE 2018 is scheduled to be held from 04 to 10 April 2018 in online mode and on 08 April 2018 in Pend and paper mode. The last date to submit the online application form is extended to 15 March 2018. NRI candidates are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam of VITEEE 2018 apart from applying through direct NRI Application form for the same. Those candidates studied/studying in abroad should apply directly through foreign category only. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is a national-level entrance examination conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology University. The entrance examination of VITEEE is conducted in more than a hundred cities across India. The exam enables the candidates to get admission at Vellore and Chennai campuses of the university. Every year, lakhs of students appear for the examination that puts 5000 B.Tech seats on offer.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2018

In order to apply for VITEEE 2018, candidates should have taken regular, formal and full-time education in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology through one of the following –

  • PUC or 10+2 from any recognized board/ university.
  • PIO & OCI holder can also apply
  • National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
  • Foreign candidates can apply through foreign category only NRI candidates can apply through NRI forms

However, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is required by general category candidates while SC/ ST/ northeastern states candidates should have secured at least 50% marks of aggregate.

Only candidates born on or after July 1, 1995 will be eligible to apply for VITEEE 2018.

VITEEE Application Form 2018

The application form for VITEEE 2018 has been released on the official website for both NRI/Foreign and Indian nationals. Candidates can fill-in the application form online on the official website of VIT University or offline by buying the application forms from listed post offices on payment of application fee. Those candidates who are filling online application forms will have the option to modify the details of their VITEEE 2018 application form even after submission.

Candidates should register themselves on the VIT University website in order to fill-in the application form online. They have to upload scanned copies of their signature and photograph before submitting the application form. Candidates buying the application forms offline will have to speed post the form to the address of VIT Vellore.

Candidates should submit the filled-in application forms of VITEEE before the last date of submission i.e. 15 March 2018

VITEEE Application Fee 2018

If the candidates planning to pay the application fee via online mode have to pay INR 1150 while candidates buying application forms offline will have to pay an application fee of INR 1200 including GST.Earlier, the application fee to apply for VITEEE entrance exam was INR 990 for Offline forms (OMR) and INR 970 for the online form. To pay the application fee online, candidates can use their debit card/credit card/Net Banking or through a Demand Draft. On the other hand, offline candidates can pay the amount at the post-office to obtain the application form. 

VITEEE Exam Pattern 2018

VITEEE 2018 will be a computer-based test which will be conducted in three sessions. The exam paper consists of a total of 125 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each. There will be two exam paper sets i.e. medical & non-medical. Candidates will be required to answer any one of the question paper sets of their choice. The questions will be based on various topics of Physics, English, Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry. There is no negative marking. Still, candidates should check the exam pattern of VITEEE 2018. 

VITEEE Syllabus 2018

In order to obtain a good rank in VITEEE 2018, candidates are advised to be aware of the entire syllabus of the exam. The examination will comprise of two question paper sets namely medical and non-medical. Candidates will have to choose any of the two sets comprising of 125 multiple choice questions. Both the sets will have questions judging the candidate’s understanding of various topics of Physics, Mathematics/ Biology, Chemistry, and English.

VITEEE Slot-Booking 2018

The VITEEE 2018 Slot-booking is going to take place in the month of March 2018. Candidates will be required to confirm their test date, time slot and test centre of their choice on the official portal of VITEEE 2018. No modification will be allowed after the booking is confirmed and the slot booking will be done on first cum first serve basis. The slot booking is expected to go on for a week.

VITEEE Admit Card 2018

The admit cards for VITEEE 2018 will be made available to the candidates at the time of the slot booking itself. Candidates will receive an official intimidation regarding the availability of the admit cards on their registered email-id from VIT University. An e-Admit card will also be made available to registered candidates on successful completion of their slot-booking. Candidates without an admit card will not be allowed to appear for VITEEE exam or for the counseling. All candidates are required to carry the admit cards on the day of their examination and also during the time of their counselling.

VITEEE Result 2018

The results for VITEEE 2018 will be announced on the official website of VIT University after VITEEE 2018 Exam. The University will inform the students about the announcements of results via SMS. Candidates will have to enter the desired information to view their results. The VIT University will use ‘Equipercentile Equating’ method to check the results of VITEEE.

VITEEE Counselling 2018

The counselling schedule for VITEEE 2018 is expected to be held in the second/ third week of May 2018.  The counselling procedure will be carried out in two phases at Chennai as well as Vellore campus. Candidates will be called for counselling as per their VITEEE rank. All candidates will have to carry the documents listed by VIT University at the time of counselling to ensure admission. The candidates who failed to physically present at the time of counselling, the application will be considered invalid.

VITEEE Cut Off 2018

VITEEE Cut off is the minimum marks that a candidate should attain in the examination. Here the cut off marks are given in the form of the rank. It refers that the admission to the particular branch has been concluded after the mentioned rank. Hence, try to attain the minimum rank in order to get admission in the desired campus and branch.

VITEEE Preparation Tips

To qualify the VITEEE 2018 Examination, candidates should follow the below-given tips-

  • Get the complete details of the examination pattern and the syllabus of the VITEEE
  • Make a study schedule on the basis of the syllabus and divide equal time for each section of the examination pattern.
  • Complete the syllabus one month prior to the examination and reserve the last month of revisions only.
  • Along with the study, make short notes of all the important topics and the formula, so that you can save your time during the revision.
  • Revise the complete syllabus and along with solve mock test and sample papers as much, you can.
