WBJEE cut-off 2018 will be declared by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) in June 2018.

WBJEE 2018 Cut-Off – The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). WBJEEB will declare the WBJEE 2018 Cut-Off in June 2018. The cut-off is the minimum marks required for a candidate to seek admission in undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and architecture courses in various participating institutes. WBJEE Cut-Off will consist of minimum marks and opening & closing ranks for all categories in different institutes.

All the aspirants who clear the WBJEE 2018 exam and clear the cut-off will be eligible to sit for the WBJEE counselling. The cut-off for WBJEE is decided on the basis of:

  • Number of applications
  • Previous year’s cut off
  • Number of students who appear for exam
  • Number of seats available
  • Difficulty level of exam

WBJEE 2018 will be conducted on April 22, 2018. A total of 36,000 seats are expected to be filled across 104 participating colleges. WBJEE 2018 Cut-Off will be announced soon after the examination is concluded.

WBJEE 2018 Cut-Off: Highlights

WBJEE 2018 cut-off will be announced along with the result of WBJEE. Candidates can check important points related to the WBJEE cut-off given below:

  • The cut-off of WBJEE will be declared by WBJEEB and the candidates who meet the cut-off rank/score will qualify the examination
  • Basis WBJEE cut-off, the WBJEE merit list will be prepared and the participating institutes will grant admission into B.Tech courses as per this merit list
  • Each participating institute will release their individual cut-off (Branch wise) in the form of opening and closing ranks
  • A separate list of WBJEE 2018 cut-off rank will also be published for JEE Main candidates. The Self Financed Engineering and Technology Colleges of West Bengal will fill 10% of the approved seats through JEE Main 2018.
  • Candidates have to meet the cut-off rank for admission into various engineering courses offered by the participating institutes of WBJEE 2018

WBJEE 2018 Counselling

WBJEEB will conduct the WBJEE Counselling in the month of June 2018. The following steps show the seat allotment process.

Registration

Aspirants must register on the official website of WBJEE to apply for the counselling. They must fill all the basic and necessary details such as Date of Birth, Gender, and Religion etc. All aspirants must note that the details, once filled, cannot be changed.

Fee Payment

After completing the registration process, the website will be redirected to the fee payment gateway. Candidates will have to pay INR 500 as the registration fee. Debit or Credit cards can be used to pay the fees.

Selection of Course and College

After the payment is over, candidates will have to choose their course and college of preference. Candidates can only submit the choices for the first round of WBJEE 2018 Counselling. They can fill as much number of courses and colleges. The choices can be re-ordered, changed, deleted, and added by the candidates as per their preferences for any number of times before locking the final choices.

Locking of Choices

Candidates need to lock their choice before the deadline day, by clicking on the 'Lock' button. If a candidate fails to lock their choices, the filled choices will be locked automatically, and cannot be modified again.

Seat Allotment Process

After successfully completing the steps above, the candidates will be allotted seats basis the rank secured in WBJEE 2018. The result of the seat allotment process will be published online on the official website of WBJEEB. Candidates must report to the reporting centre to complete all the admission formalities. The result of seat allotment along with relevant documents must be carried to the venue.
