Surya Narayan, Head of Business, Hungama Digital Services addressed the students of School of Media & Communication (SMC) at WWI.
Whistling Woods International (WWI) hosted a masterclass with Surya Narayan, Head of Business, Hungama Digital Services. He spoke about the various shifts in the spectrums of the advertising industry in recent years and its impact on the shift from traditional to digital and social media. Surya Narayan who has worked in both the eras was excited to share his experience and understanding of the industry with the students of School of Media & Communication (SMC) at WWI.
Surya Narayan also enlightened the impact of television on the society and how has it influenced the youth of today in a big way. The shift he defined is the move from traditional print medium to television and now to digital space. He also emphasized on the average 12% digital spends which the brands have considered spending on the digital and social media advertising to keep a tap on the response and maximizing on sales via the end consumer.
He also showcased examples of the Airtel and Mahindra XUV 500 campaign, which was differently made for television and digital space as both the platforms offer different ‘Air Time’ for the campaigns to be played. While addressing the students, he also emphasized on the various aspects that are taken into consideration to define a good/bad advertisement.
