Engineers Day is being celebrated every year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna honoured M. Visveswarya.

YMCA University of Science and Technology celebrated Engineers Day on September 15, 2016 with a number of events prevailing all day long .The engineering communities across the country come together to celebrate the Engineers Day on 15 September every year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna honoured M. Visveswarya. 
 
 
 
The celebrations started at 10 am with an expert lecture by Er. Anuj Kumar Sinha .He is Chairman, Foundation for Global Science Initiatives , Mumbai and Chairman MILSET India. He wrote a book on ‘Nuclear Energy' and is writing next one on ‘Women and Technology. Engineer Anuj Sinha talked about how engineers can bring revolution to the world by their knowledge and hard work. He told students about what engineers do? Who is a good engineer? What are the prominent qualities of an engineer?. This anticipated students to work harder in their field. After this, an interactive session was held where students cleared their doubts with Mr. Anuj and it continued till 12.
 
 
After this Samarpan, the Electrical and Electronics  Club of YMCA organised a competition comprised of three rounds, which involved several activities to check IQ, Reflex time, Aptitude, Concentration and several other qualities of students. First round comprised of five fun and technical events like Rubik’s cube, Glow me, stump, Puzzlefie and  Selfie. Selected teams entered round two where they came across an aptitude test and qualified students entered third round ‘Fastest Finger Quiz’ which was a buzzer quiz competition. 
 
 
 
Students participate with great enthusiasm. There were exciting prizes and gifts up for grabs included Hybrid Solar charger, Programming buzzer kit, and Water level indicator to first, second and third positions respectively. All participants were given ‘Electronics For You (EFY)’, a college magazine. The event was successfully hosted with the guidance of cultural head Sonia Bansal , Club Coordinator Ass. Prof. Lalit Rai and club joint secretaries Pranshu Gupta , Gaurav Kumar, Sachin Mehra .
