Dr. R K Sharma from NIT Kurukshetra visited the campus of YMCAUST for a guest lecture recently.
An expert lecture on the topic Embedded Systems was organised by Electronic and Engineering department of YMCA University of Science and Technology.
Dr. R K Sharma from NIT Kurukshetra by his auspicious presence enhanced the effectiveness of event. Dr. R K Sharma is a Ph.D holder in Electronics from NIT Kurukshetra. He is chief investigator of govt. of India project- ‘chip to system design’ and was honored with techno inventor award for outstanding doctorate in 2007.
The events kick started at 3 p.m. and prevailed upto 5 pm. The 2 hours were extremely productive to students in which Dr. Sharma enlightened students about basics of embedded system and conceived them how they are using embedded systems in their day-to-day life unknowingly.
From a small Mp3 player to assembly lines controllers in a factory, automobiles, medical equipment, airplanes, and vending machines everything works on the concept of embedded systems. He elaborated how the lifts, we use on daily basis, operate using the concept of respective topic. The session went well with good interactions. In the end Dr. Munish Vashishat, Chairperson Electronics department YMCAUST exchanged the vote of thanks to the guests.
