Mechanical engineering deals with design, analysis, manufacture and maintenance of anything that has moveable components.

Engineering requires an adequate knowledge of Maths. Mechanical engineers will study Trigonometry, Calculus, Algebra, Statics and Strengths, Physics, Thermodynamics, Statistics, Economics each at multiple levels. In short, we can say that you have to be good in Mathematics to enter in engineering field.
