There are many different entrance exams which are conducted for admissions in M.Tech by various universities except GATE. Universities conduct their own entrance exams such as

1. TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test)
2. Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Karnataka by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)
3. Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
4. GGSIPU Engineering CET Entrance exam
5. University of Petroleum and Energy studies, Dehradun UPES-SEAT Engineering Entrance Test
6. Birla Institute of Science & Technology - BITSAT Entrance exam
7. BEEE - Bharath University Engineering Entrance Exam
8. VITEEE Engineering Entrance Exam
9. Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) - M.Tech Entrance exam
10. SRMEEE - SRM University

Hello sir, i want to know about the exams taken by different university for ME/M-Tech. Other than GATE what is the next option for ME/M-Tech ??

If you have scored pretty well in your 12th and B.tech, then you can try your luck for Shiv Nadar university... but their admission criteria are quite strict. They consider students with the best marks only, also, I understand from a friend who is studying there those they focus a lot on research...and the quality of education is superlative i.e they offer cross-disciplinary programs by the best faculty from around...I've heard they have scheduled the entrance on 10th of April...so try to get in
