Hello student,

Actuarial Science is the discipline that applies mathematical and statistical methods to assess risks in insurance and finance industries. Actuarial science includes a number of interrelating subjects, including probability, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, financial economics, and computer programming.

Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) conducts Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) in 48 cities and 51centers across India. It is a computer-based examination where the examinees have to be present at their chosen testing centre. The exam will have multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question.

Eligibility: You must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with English as one of the subjects at 10 + 2 level.

The choice of course depends on your interest and abilities. You can compare career as per your preferences by using our Compare Career Tool.
