i am doing a b tech in civil engineering and i'll complete it in May'13.I have an interest in mass communication?Would it be possible to pursue it now?When does the forms for indian institute of mass communication arrive?What are the future prospects of this sector?

Yes, you can opt for Post Graduation in Mass Communication after completing your B.Tech. The sale of application forms in Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) begins in the 1st week of March, 2013 and closes in 2nd week of April, 2013. The last date of receipt of filled in applications forms is in 3rd week of April, 2013. Mass communication is a wide term and relates to fields like Public Relations, Communication, Advertisement and Journalism, which can further be categorised into Print, Electronic and Web Journalism. You can find job opportunities in the field of Radio, Television, Newspapers, Publishing Houses, Corporate World, Government Organisations, Entertainment Industry, Advertising Agencies and Public Relations Agencies.
