I am persuing B. tech from EN branch under UPTU.I want to know about all government sectors where i can apply and which exams are held for these sectors.Kindly make available all valuable information and scope of the same on my email ID available .

Dear Student

Here is a list of the top ten government companies where you can apply for after completing you B.Tech engineering degree:

BHEL
BEL
SAIL
GAIL
KELTRON
IOCL
BSNL
ISRO
NTCP
DRDO

Here is a list of other government jobs:

BANK CLERICAL N OFFICER POST
RAILWAY
UPSC EXAMS
SSC EXAMS
CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS
INDIAN ARMY,NAVY N AIR FORCE etc

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Qualification

1) Graduation in any field with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized university/college.

2) For clerical level exams a pass in 10th with 60% marks/ pass in 12 th with 50% marks.

Age

1) Age limit is 18-28 yrs for non graduate level posts
2) Age limit for graduate level is 21-30 yrs.

For every post there will be a written exam and if you get through them, you will be called for a personal interview. If you perform well in the personal interview, you can clinch the job!. But, some jobs like Army, Navy, Defense, Income tax, Police etc. usually have a physical test as well. Only after clearing that would the final candidates will be selected.
