You can’t take admission in any government college without appearing National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). NEET is an All India Medical Entrance Exam for admission to medical Colleges in India for under graduate and post graduate courses.
Eligibility Criteria: You should have passed 10+2 examination with minimum of 50% (General category) and 40% (Reserved category) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board before admission.
The NEET entrance examination would cover most of the medical colleges in India. The exceptions listed out are AFMC- Armed Forces Medical College, AIIMS- All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER- Chandigarh) as these institutions were set up by separate laws and will be out of the insight of NEET- UG.
