Dear student, since, you are interested in Public Relations (PR); you can opt for one year Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations to get into this field. Public Relation (PR) is a management function that involves monitoring and evaluating public attitudes and maintaining mutual relations and understanding between an organisation and its public. PR is one of the best paying fields in the communications industry. A PR professional can open his/her agency and if they get some top clients, the fees can run into lakhs.

You said you don’t want to go for M. A (English). Did you know that there are specific PG courses on feature writing and the like? You could also pursue that! Sky is the limit. All you need to do is explore.
