Further opportunity to develop expertise on the AS/400 system used IBM, being widely used byFortune 500 companies, also exists nAS Storage, Firewall, network Printer and Scanners are integrated in LAn to optimise utilizationof the resources.The Centre for Information Technology (CIT) is the nerve centre of Asia-Pacific. The Center is equipped with Windows 2003 Domain ,compilers for languages like C, C + +, Relational Data Base Management Systems like ORACLE 9i and other packages like MS Office,MsProject, Visual Studio, Dotnet, FoxPro, SPSS etc.Asia-Pacific is linked to the rest of the world through its Leased Line(1:1) link round – the - clock Internet connectivity for net-basedresearch projects and knowledge mining.Students use these labs to design and develop cross platform applications. From capture of media to production of CBTs and web-sites,Asia-Pacific’s Computer Lab has ample resources on both platforms for editing and creating content and authorizing multimedia forstand alone computers and delivery via the web. Students work in team to implement network design, solve network related problemsand learn the fundamentals of operating an installation of networked computers. Extra Curricular Details:iNDRADhANUSh-A CULTURAL CUM MANAGeMeNT FeSTAsia-Pacific Institute of Management’svery own annual cultural and management fest - indradhanush ’10 was held on 5 and 6 March,2010, and it brought with itself to thecampus all the colours of the rainbow,figuratively and literally.standing to its name, indradhanush is a show of colours brought into playin the arena of events like dance, quiz,singing,extempore, acting etc.Colours of joy, celebration, fun tookaway the monotonous routine of students and recharged them with hope ,faith and love. It is a platform onwhich students from all sections came together and worked in sync. Witheach other creating a more friendly and amicable environment for the future. It is for a while replaced all blues.with undying spirit of excitement andamusement. indradhanush is more of a revealing session of many hidden talents which were by then explored.Asia-Pacific institute of Management had the privilege to host competitionsin cultural and academic fields where participants from various other reputed institutes graced the occasion.Irrespective of the magnitude ofeffort put in or the resources spent,a Management and Cultural Festis the physical manifestation of theaspirations, hopes and dreams of thestudents involved. it would not be narcissistic on our part to quote thatindradhanush saw the unveiling and recognition of many a latent talent for personal amelioration and for cultural development.ALUMNi MeeT - NoSTALGiA Memories were unleashed and relished when Asia-Pacific institute of Management greeted its Alumni in the best possible way on 18 October 2009 by organizing nostalgia’09, the Eleventh Alumni Meet of the Institute wherein 500alumni participated.nostalgia means ‘Remembrance of Special Memories’. Thefirst nostalgia was organized in 2007 and from thereonAsia-Pacific has kept this theme alive and it will be organizedevery year for creating a platform to the alumni for reunions,re-living their old campus days and sharing the experiencewith the existing students.
