Department of law in Panjab university is best law institute. Everything here is good. The atmosphere is very peaceful. Teachers are very cooperative. Infrastructure is better as compared to others.

The Department of Laws is affiliated to Punjab Technical University approved by AICTE. The Department provides practical training to LL.B. students. One full paper of sixth Semester includes compulsory participation in two Moots, attachment with advocates in District Courts for seven to ten days and special lectures by eminent Academicians, Judges and Senior Advocates which are compulsory as a part of curriculum. Every year the students of the department are sent to the Supreme Court of India as a part of the practical training programme.

The Library has a collection of over 6.4 lakh publications which include books, bound volumes of journals, theses/dissertations, rare books, reports, government documents, back files of newspapers, and a prized collection of 1490 manuscripts. It is fully computerized with an integrated system connected to the Campus Network providing Internet and e-mail facility to the University community.
