The department offers Master of Science in Physics with specializations in Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Solid State Physics, Electronics. It's a two years degree programme.
Admission Criteria:

Candidate should have passed bachelor's degree in Physics having Chemistry and Mathematics as a pass subjects. Candidates have to appeared in written admission test (Objective type).

The institute's infrastructure is modern with well equipped facilities.

Hostel facility is available in the university.
The department has two multimedia projectors for regular use in seminar, class lecturer.
The Department has a research laboratory for fabrication and study of properties of High Tech materials. It is also setting up a Materials Science Laboratory and has already acquired some very sophisticated equipment for this purpose. The department has very good computer facilities. There are 18 desktops in the Central Computer facility which serve as terminals or can be used as independent PCs. All the PCs in the department are connected through a LAN with each other. There are also an adequate number of printers, scanners and other accessories.
The department Library has currently about 2500 volumes. In the Central Library there are currently about 4500 Physics books.
