Course details

College offers Bachelor of Divinity (2 yrs) course. It is a two years full time Degree Programme.
Admission Criteria:

The B. Th. Graduates who passed in I or II Class shall be expected to complete the B. D. degree within 2 years whilst the3nd class B. Th. Graduates shall be admitted to the B. D. class for 3 years with exemption from the Orientation only A candidate shall be required to complete the B. D. degree within 7 years from the date of registration. The Minimum time required shall be 31/2 Years Which includes the orientation and practical work. They shall be required to pass a minimum of 26 papers and a thesis or 28 papers of which 12 will be Senate examined. A candidate shall be required to complete the B. D. degree within 7 years from the time of registration.

Course details

College offers Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) course. It is a two years full time Degree Programme.
Admission Criteria:

The minimum time required shall be 4 years which includes the practical work. They shall be required to pass a minimum 58 papers and a thesis of which 23 will be Senate examined. The B. Th. Graduates who passed in I or II Class shall be expected to complete the B. D. degree within 2 years, whilst the 3rd class B. Th. Graduates shall be admitted to the B. D. course for 3 years. Exemption for B. Th. Graduates: Normally the B. Th. Degree holders of the Senate of Serampore College in the I or II Class will be eligible for admission to the fourth year of B. D. course. They shall be required to pass a minimum of 12 papers and a thesis for the B. D. degree of which 6 shall be Senate examined.

Hostel
The Eastern Theological College, Jorhat provides only residential theological education other than the approved Theological Education by Extension and few Doctor of Ministry candidates that is being co-ordinated by the College. We have three main hostels, the main hostel is again divided into Thumra Hostel and Duffy Hostel, S.N. Hostel and another hostel for girl students named as Rhoda Hostel. These three hostels can accommodate about 250 students.

College has well furnished classrooms.
Laboratory
All labs are equipped with latest equipments.
Library
The Eastern Theological College Library is a reference and research library for use of the students, faculty members, staff and research scholars from the sister colleges in India. Because of its geographical accessibility, many researchers of the region prefer to seek this library. There are few important factors why many students and researchers come to ETC library for study and also for research works. The ETC library holds priceless historical documents like the diaries, correspondences and records of the American Baptist Missionaries. All of these are treasured collection which need to careful preservation. Another major reason is that ETC as a pioneer of developing Tribal Theology, the College library has a very good collection of resources for upcoming tribal scholars. Central library facility is available.
