The Institute began functioning in the borrowed building of Harcourt Butler Technological Institute with 100 students and a small faculty. Classrooms Details: The courses are delivered from the E-Classroom set up at IIT Kanpur to the E-Classrooms at both the location via VSAT with full two way interactivity. The E-Classroom has three wall-mounted cameras with remote control, mixer/switcher and a video distributor.
Library Details:P. K Kelkar Library (Formerly Central Library) of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is an academic Library with a collection of more than 3,00,000 volumes and subscriptions to more than 1000 periodicals.
