Infrastructure Overview: IIT, Delhi has well equipped with all the modern facilities.
Hostel Details: Each hostel is self-contained with amenities such as a reading room, an indoor games room, a lounge and a dining hall with mess. The computer rooms are under construction. The administrative head of each hostel, the Warden, is a senior faculty member.
Laboratory Details:The Centre administers the computational and network services and extends programming advice for processing the research and development problems of the Institute. It also organizes CEP courses in upcoming IT areas and undertake sponsored research and consultancies. The Centre is equipped with PARAM 10000, IBM RS/6000 SP, Sun Ultra Enterprise Server 3000 & 4000, Java Stations and Graphic workstations connected over a switched fast Ethernet. The Centre offers utility oriented intensive courses for the benefit of users.
Classrooms Details: The classrooms are well furnished.
Library Details:The IIT Library System consists of a Central Library and 18 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various Divisions.
Extra Curricular Details:The institute provides a number of facilities for student's extracurricular and physical development. The central two-storied block with a swimming pool and a gymnasium hall has amenities such as squash courts, hobbies workshop, seminar rooms, music rooms and other multipurpose rooms
for reading and indoor games. The amphi theatre constructed in modern style is an added amenity to the centre.
