IHM meerut is a Good college but faculty is not that good as a student wants. It is an average College. Some of the teachers are helpful.

Hostel

Hostel offers clean and comfortable living conditions in environmental friendly atmosphere. Every student in the room is provided with single bed, study table, chair and a cupboard. 24 hour power supply, running hot & cold water, filtered cold drinking water, and incoming telephone call facilities are also available. It is mandatory for all first year male students to stay in the hostel. It is mandatory for all female students (except whose parents reside in Meerut) to stay in the hostel for entire duration of study. With a concern for a safer location for girls, the girls' hostel is located downtown and free transportation from the hostel to the institute is provided. All hostellers need to be a member of the mess in the hostel. First year students will be provided double/triple occupancy rooms only. Payment of hostel fees may be remitted by a separate demand draft in favour of IHM Meerut, payable at Meerut.

Classroom

Conventional class room lectures form the bedrock on which case studies, assignments, group projects, seminars, debates, elocution, role playing, psycho-analysis help in further development of the student. Field work and guest lectures are applied to give critical practical orientation. The idea behind the whole academic exercise is not to make students exam oriented but business inclined.

Laboratory

Basic Training Kitchen : Basic kitchen is fully equipped with modern catering equipments and appliances. This kitchen is used primarily to introduce the art of cookery to the students and it is the launching pad for the new comers. Familiarity with the art and science of cooking is indeed an essential part of good hospitality operation.

Advance Training Kitchen : Having mastered the basics, the students move on to specialization in the art of cooking. This kitchen which boasts of state-of-the-art equipment and hotel kitchen simulation. Elaborate dishes are prepared here. The cuisines under consideration are Continental, Indian & Chinese.

Quantity Food Training Kitchen : This kitchen is primarily used to impart training to students on Indian and Continental Cuisine and for preparing food in bulk for banquets and parties.

Two huge labs take care of all Baking and Confectionary requirements of the syllabus. Students produce the most exquisite breads, cakes, chocolates, pastries & desserts here.

Front Office Lab: The front office lab with well decorated lobby, reception area and lounge, is the first point of contact with guest. In this lab the students are trained for receiving information, billing, guest registration and guest relation. In addition, emphasis is on communication skills, social skills, oratory skills and handling of different type of situations.

House Keeping Lab : The Housekeeping lab is equipped with the most modern equipments and guest supplies, chemicals, abrasives, linen etc. required for accommodation upkeep and other related jobs.

F&B Service: Two Training Restaurants and Bars, equipped to cater to national and international tastes, provide latest techniques of service at par with the industry. Training of buffets, banquets, gueridon service, etc. are also provided in these labs.

Extra - Curricular

The college arranges various extra curricular activities in the fields of debate, quiz, games & sports, extempore speech, inter college competition, visits etc. The experts who are specialists in their respective fields such as human psychology, personality development etc. are invited to interact with the students. Besides these activities some cultural events are also held at the time of institution's foundation day, fresher's day, and farewell parties to give opportunities to students to show their talents in the field of performing art.
