Lourdes Matha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (LMIHMCT), established by the Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society (LMCES) is under the Archdiocese of Changanassery. LMIHMCT was established primarily to impart quality education in the field of Hotel management. Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society (LMCES) wish to take the privilege of being one of the distinct industry leaders in hospitality management and consultancy. The college also wishes to house the Hospitality Research and campus recruitment centre. Institute aim is to deliver competent, skilful and quality professionals to the hospitality and related industries.

BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) is a 4-year graduate programme, which offers introduction to the world of hospitality and dwells in depth into providing a good understanding of the industry. This program is designed to provide a sound understanding of the intricacies of managing and working of the hospitality industry. With the rapid development of tourism in the country there is an ever-growing demand for personnel in management and hospitality cadre.
Admission Criteria:

Students with a pass in Plus Two or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks are eligible for admission. SC/ST students need only a pass mark. The candidate should have to appear for an entrance test conducted by University of Kerala for getting admission to merit seats or by LMIHMCT for getting admission for management seats. The candidates qualifying the test will be called for a group discussion and a personal interview to assess the candidate's communication skill, personality and the suitability for a managerial career. Pass in HSc / Tech HSc / Occasional HSc of the Kerala State Government or equivalent with 50 % marks in aggregate. 50% of the admission will be through entrance examination conducted by University of Kerala.

Extra - Curricular
A food festival named 'KATKALP' was organized in the month of September 2007. The concept of the festival was to have integration among south Indian states. Menus from various south Indian states were prepared by the students with the help of staff members. Also the ambiance and dress code were in par with the theme. The chief guest of the function was Rev.Fr. John.V.Thadathil, President,LMCES and Mr.Bosco Futado, Learning and Training Manager, Taj Green Cove presided over the function along with executive members of LMCES. The function was organized for 400 pax and the guests were mainly students and staff from LMCST along with invited dignitaries from hospitality industry.
The library of the college is well stocked with a collection of 3600 volumes of books and more than 60 journals and periodicals, both Indian and foreign.
