Course details

College offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Basic) course. The course of study leading to Bachelor of Nursing (Basic) degree comprises of 4 academic years.
Admission Criteria:

A candidate seeking admission should have Passed the two year Pre-university examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University Health Sciences, with science subjects, Viz., Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students of Vocational Courses: 10+2 vocational course of State Government of Kerala with cognate subject namely Domesting Nursing and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. Obtained at least forty-five percent of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination; if belonging to a scheduled or a scheduled tribe, should have obtained not less than forty percent of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination. Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

College offers Master of Science in Nursing course. Is a two years programme which prepares the nurses for leadership positions in Nursing and to be able to meet the changing trends in the society by acting as agents for social change and enhance quality of care.
Admission Criteria:

The candidate seeking admission must have passed BSc. Nursing / Post Certificate BSc. Nursing degree of this university or any other University accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka. Have a minimum of one year of experience after obtaining BSc. Nursing (Basic), in hospital or Nursing Educational Institutions or Community Health Setting. The Candidate shall be a registered nurse and registered midwife for admission to branch I, II, III and IV. A registered nurse for admission to branch V. (Psychiatric Nursing) The Candidates shall be selected on merit judged on the basis of academic performances in BSc. Nursing / Post certificate BSc. Nursing and selection test.
