Dr. Priya Mary Mathew heads the School of Creative Business. She is focused on providing students with the very best in employability, global experience, holistic development and use of technology in learning. In the past, she has led the Academic Quality and Standards Department at Pearl Academy.
A qualified higher education teacher with experience of over a decade in teaching Business institutes, her research interests include online consumer behavior, attitude formation, perception, academic quality, e-learning processes and pedagogy. Her major achievement has been in catalyzing the development of academic quality and standards in Pearl Academy. She developed the quality manual drawing from her intense study of academic quality systems (AQS) of various UK and US universities. She was invited recently by QAA (Quality Assurance Agency, UK) to present the case of development AQS as a team exercise. She has a strong research record in the fields of marketing and consumer behavior.
She created an online portfolio on the teacher-development-plan, which served as a benchmark in Nottingham Trent University, UK.
She has a strong research record in online marketing, online attitude transformation, perceived risks, website design, teaching methods, employability and academic processes. As School Head, Dr Mathew emphasizes on providing relevant academics in student-centric learning environment. Innovation, technology, internationality and employability are the four pillars that lay the foundation of all courses in School of Creative Business.
Dr. Mathew holds a Ph.D. in Online Consumer Behaviour from Hamdard University, Delhi. She is a management graduate with specialization in Marketing, With a Gold medal in Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, NTU, UK, she has gained expertise in pedagogy. She is a versatile combination of event manager, merchandiser, student counselor, corporate trainer, curriculum developer, author, placement manager and faculty associated Asian Sahyogi Santha of India (ASSI) as youth developer.
