About Us

 

The Times Centre for Media and Management Studies was set up, as TCMS, with a vision to promote excellence in the field of media. TCMS run courses on journalism specific to the newspaper industry. The journalism courses were transcribed into a new unit called The Times School of Journalism.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Placement Records

 
All students have to do the 3 month internship as part of the course curriculum. Those who outperform are offered jobs at Times Group brands like Times of India, Economic Times, Times Now, ET Now, timesofindia.com, economictimes.com etc, while the rest get offers from other media and/or non-media companies. For beginners the entry-level salary ranges from 2-4 lakh per annum. Those with prior work experience or those who choose to join non-media companies after doing this course, the salary can be almost double or more than what the beginners are being offered. Needless to say, salaries are also a function of general economic conditions and health of media industry and hence these figures are only indicative. The actual salary can be higher or lower than what is mentioned above.
