
Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-operative Management is approved by AICTE. The institute provides post graduate programmes. It is well known that the Cooperative Movement envisaged to provide answers to the problems of rural credit in India, owes its origin to the sponsorship of Government. Beginning with Sir Fredrick Nicholson's Report in 1885 on the issue of training to the Cooperative leadership entrusted with the duty of building up the Cooperative Movement, has always been emphasized. But, it was not until 1945 that the Saraiya Committee on Cooperative Planning recommended the establishment of a Cooperative Training College at the State level and Central level.
Infrastructure Overview: The institute has well equipped with all the modern facilities.
Laboratory Details:The IT Center has a team of dedicated, qualified and experienced faculty members who have extended the services from National level to Primary level cooperative institutions for computerization and deployment of IT enabled services. The Center has successfully completed more than 50 Consultancy Projects which includes Total Branch Automation (TBA), IT set up evaluation, Core Banking, Systems Audit, etc. This has enabled the cooperatives seeking consultancy to computerize economically without any compromise on quality.
