This is the best college in Maharashtra. The teaching faculty is highly educated. The staff is supportive, cooperative and helpful. The college has a good sports department. The campus surroundings are good compared to other colleges. Hostel facilities are good. The campus crowd is friendly.

The overall teaching in Usha Pravin Gandhi needs improvement. The infrastructure is no doubt up to the mark but if the faculty would adopt a more responsible approach towards their work, this institution has the capability to further strengthen their overall quality of teaching. Rest assured, it is one of the finest in Mumbai.


Placement is better than any other Institutions

One of best colleges in West Bengal. Teachers are very experienced and very helpful. College campus is really awesome, bathrooms and canteens are always clean. The best thing is placement, in the previous years Upto 85% students got placement from campusing. One more thing to note, no ragging happens in college campus. There have every department's separated and well decorated lab. There have a play ground and also have a place to play indoor games. In every Block (building) they have a Library. Every newspaper, magazines and every useful books are always available there. The faculty and the seniors are friendly.





Eligibility for Distance MCA

Similar to regular MCA courses, the distance MCA programme demands candidates to be graduates in any stream. While this is the basic criterion, most candidates who have done BCA prefer to take admission in the MCA course. Most institutions also require candidates to have a minimum of 45 to 50 percent marks in their graduation exam. Still, thiscondition may vary for each institution and each candidate category.

Apart from the above, universities or institutions usually require candidates to have mandatorily studied the subject of mathematics at 10+2 level. Some institutes may even require them to have Mathematics as a subject at graduation level. However, the mandatory study of Maths at 10+2 level is a prerequisite in almost all universities offering the Distance MCA course. While merit-based admission in distance MCA is done in some universities, other institutes may follow the route of entrance exam to choose candidates.

Distance MCA

The MCA course through distance education mode is usually a six-semester course in most academic institutions or universities. Students not only focus on the theoretical study of computer applications but also work on projects or dissertations. The Distance MCA course makes them learn about application development, as well as the latest programming tools and languages. As the MCA course is a specialised programme in itself, there are only elective subjects that students can choose in the later semesters.
