    Dear student,

Interior designing is concerned with the elements inside a home, such as windows, walls, lights, furniture, etc. It is a mixture of architecture, product design as well as decoration aesthetics. You can opt for Diploma courses in interior designing and decoration after 10th offered by various Interior Designing institutes. But it would be better to do degree course in Interior Designing from good institute after passing your 12th for good career scope.

Eligibility for interior designing degree courses:

    • You need to pass 10+2 in any discipline from any recognized board.

    • Some reputed colleges provide admission through entrance exams such as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam, National Level Entrance Aptitude Test (NLAT), National Entrance Examination for Design (NEED), NID Entrance Test, NIFT Entrance Exam, School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) Entrance Exam etc.

Interior designing has become most popular profession. Interior Designing has opened the door for a large number of professional interior designers. Graduates from interior design courses can find employment with independent architects or in large architectural firms, building contractors, hotels and resorts. You may also find jobs in private design consultancy firms, theatres, and exhibition organizing companies.

Interior Design profession also offers excellent prospects for individuals who want to work part time and those who aspire to be self-employed and start their own business.
