AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences for admission to MBBS course. All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament. As provided in the Act, AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees. It conducts various entrance examinations for this purpose.

AIIMS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have completed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized board.
  • Students appearing in class 12th with PCBE are also eligible for the Competitive Entrance Examination.
  • Aspirants must have secured minimum aggregate percentage of 60% (for General and OBC candidates) or 50% (for SC/ST/OPH Candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
  • Applicants should have attained the age of 17 years as on the 31st December 2017. (Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 2001 are not eligible for the entrance exam)

Exam Pattern

AIIMS Exam Pattern

There would be 200 questions in exam in which 140 questions will be MCQs (multiple choice questions) and 60 questions will be reason assertion. The exam pattern will be as follows:

General Knowledge

 20

Candidates will get one mark for each correct answer. There will negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.
